Gundam Builders World Cup (GBWC) 2025 – UK Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply specifically to participants entering the GBWC 2025 competition from the United Kingdom. By entering, participants agree to abide by both the Global Rules and Regulations (https://gbwc.bandai-hobby.net/en/regulation/) (“Global Rules”) and the following UK-specific conditions; provided always that in the event of a conflict between the Global Rules and these UK-specific conditions, these UK-specific conditions will take priority in connection with any participants from the UK:
1. Eligibility
•Entrants must reside in the United Kingdom at the time of entry and throughout the competition period.
•Entrants must hold a valid UK passport in order to travel to Japan for the World Finals.
•Entrants under 18 years old must have parent/guardian express permission to enter.
2. Entry Process
•All entries must be submitted online via the UK GBWC entry page: https://gbwc.bandai-hobby.net/united_kingdom/
•Submissions must comply with all specifications outlined in the Global Rules. Entrants will require access to the internet to be able to enter the competition and register through the online website portal.
•No purchase is necessary to enter and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
•All competition entries must be received by Bandai UK by no later than 23:59 on 30.09.2025 (“Closing Date”). All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
•By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these UK-specific conditions and the Global Rules.
•Bandai UK will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
3. UK Representative Prize
•Two Grand Prize Winners will be selected from the UK (one from the U-20 Course and one from the OVER-21 Course) to represent the United Kingdom at the GBWC 2025 World Finals in Tokyo, Japan (tentatively scheduled for 7th February 2026, subject to change).
•The prize includes:
- Round-trip economy airfare from the UK to Tokyo, Japan;
- Hotel accommodation for the duration of the finals (number of nights and hotel at Bandai UK’s absolute discretion)
•Travel arrangements will be handled by Bandai UK or an authorised partner, and the participant will not be refund for any costs incurred by them without Bandai’s prior written approval. No cash alternative is available, and prizes are subject to availability.
•The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
4. Winner Obligations
•The winner must possess a valid UK passport with at least 6 months’ validity from the intended departure date, and any necessary visas and travel documents for Japan in on the travel dates specified.
•The winner is responsible for obtaining their own travel insurance and covering any personal expenses not included in the prize (e.g. meals, transport outside of scheduled events, etc.).
•If the selected winner is unable to travel for any reason, Bandai UK reserves the right to choose an alternate winner (at its absolute discretion).
5. Liability and Disqualification
•Bandai UK and Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. accept no liability for:
- Travel disruptions, delays, or cancellations
- Illness or accidents during travel or participation
- Any damages to models in transit or during display
•Entries deemed to violate the spirit of fair competition or the Global Rules may be disqualified (at Bandai UK’s absolute discretion).
•Bandai UK reserves the right to disqualify entries on reasonable grounds for violation of the rules, including but not limited to failure to comply with rules, submission of offensive or inappropriate content, or breach of eligibility.
•In addition, the competition is not open to:
- employees of Bandai UK or its holding or subsidiary companies;
- employees of agents or suppliers of the Bandai UK or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
- members of the immediate families or households of the paragraphs above.
•There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
•Insofar as is permitted by law, Bandai UK, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Bandai UK, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Statutory rights are not affected
6. Judging and Final Decision
•All judging decisions are final and not subject to negotiation or appeal.
•Bandai UK reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition if necessary.
•Bandai UK will contact the winner personally, as soon as practicable, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
•If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 30 days from the announcement date to claim the prize. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
•The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
•Bandai UK will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 60 days of the announcement date, Bandai UK reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
•Bandai UK does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
7. Use of Entries
•By entering, participants grant Bandai UK and Bandai Namco the right to use submitted images and participant names in promotional materials and social media content relating to GBWC, both in the UK and globally.

•If a winner in the U-20 Course is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied to Japan by a parent or legal guardian at their own expense. Bandai UK will not cover the cost of the guardian's travel or accommodation.
- OVER-21 Course: for entrants aged 21 or older (born on or before December 31, 2004).- U-20 Course: for entrants aged 16 to 20 (born between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2009).
•There will be two overall winners selected from the UK.
•Entries will be judged based on craftsmanship, paint application and creativity by a panel of Bandai appointed judges.
•All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Bandai UK will become the property of Bandai UK on receipt and will not be returned.
•By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
- assign absolutely to Bandai UK all your intellectual property rights held in the competition entry with full title guarantee; and
- waive absolutely all moral rights,
in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
8. General
•Personal data submitted as part of the competition will be processed in accordance with Bandai UK’s Privacy Policy and used solely for the purposes of administering this competition.

•Bandai UK reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the competition and/or review and revise these UK-specific conditions at any time (without giving prior notice) and by continuing to take part in the competition subsequent to any revision of these UK-specific conditions, participants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
•If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these UK-specific conditions, Bandai UK may, at its absolute discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
•Bandai UK reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
•If any provision of these UK-specific are held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
• These UK-specific conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
